This article outlines how to ensure smooth processing of Try with Mirra (TBYB) orders through your warehouse and connected systems
What is Try with Mirra?
Try with Mirra is a service that allows customers to try products at home before deciding what to keep. At checkout, customers provide their payment details, but no funds are charged upfront, only a pre-authorisation is placed on their card. Once they receive the order, they have a set trial period to decide what they’d like to keep, and are only charged for those items when they finalise the order. This model provides a more flexible shopping experience for customers and requires specific handling by fulfilment teams to ensure authorised orders are processed correctly.
How it Works
Orders placed using Try with Mirra (TBYB) will appear in Shopify with a payment status of “Authorized”. This is expected — these orders are valid and should be fulfilled and shipped as normal, even though the payment hasn’t been captured yet.
-
Order Tag:
Try with Mirra
-
These tags help identify TBYB orders and distinguish them from regular orders.
When Not to Fulfil an Order
Sometimes, an order may be created but the authorization fails.
If a customer's TBYB order fails due to insufficient funds, we automatically notify them to update their payment method. The order will remain on hold until authorised. If payment is confirmed, the status will change to unfulfilled and authorized so it can be shipped. If not, the order will be cancelled after 12 hours.
Do not fulfil the order if you see:
-
Payment Status: Payment Pending or Expired
-
Fulfilment Status: On Hold
-
Order Tag:
Failed to authorize payment
-
Order Note: “Please do not fulfill this order until payment is authorized.”
These orders will typically not import into the warehouse system due to the On Hold status — but we recommend monitoring during initial setup to be safe.
